A December to Remember

Hi there.  I wanted to take a moment and talk about my activity on this blog.  You may have noticed that I’ve posted something new each day since December began (or not…we are only 5 days into the month).  I will never commit to posting daily, but I thought I should take a moment and explain what I would like to accomplish on the blog this month.

Weekend Plans: Yard Work Edition

Get organized. Go to sleep.

Got to get up early

to beat the summer heat.

Up at sunrise, with coffee in hand –

Have to sort out those green leafy plants.

Sometimes it can be hard

To decide the difference between

Which plants are plants,

And which ones are weeds.

Next a small trim to the tree that hovers right over

The fence to my neighbor’s backyard

And dish-shaped channel provider.

Once it’s all done, I can reward myself with a swim.

Don’t want to wait until later,

as a monsoon might roll in.

After all that,

I can then truly say

I have the whole afternoon free

to enjoy Saturday.

One Year Anniversary Part III

Photo Friday: Rosson House

Today’s Photo Friday is a going to be a longer post than previous Photo Friday posts.

A few weeks ago, I took a long walk during my lunch hour.  I headed towards Heritage Square Park, which houses several small museums as well as the Arizona Science Center.  I was trying to snap a few photos of the garden area around the main walkway and completely stumbled over the handles to an old wagon that was sitting right in the middle of  the walkway.  I’m pretty sure I made the wagon move a few feet to the left.  I looked around to see if anyone saw me walking smack into a wagon.

Time Flies When You’re Avoiding Your Goals

Late July?! Really?! That’s my last blog post? Time has not just flown away for me, it sprouted a jet pack and shot away with a trail of flames into the universe.

If you’ve been following this blog since the beginning, you know the whole reason I’m doing this is to force myself to make time for the pursuit of writing everyday.
